We are currently in a program to increase the number of juniors in our club.
Our junior golfers are an integral part of our club and very important to the future of the club. We endeavour to provide an enjoyable introduction and everlasting experience for our juniors so that the game of golf will always be embedded in them to carry on into adulthood, or to return to later in life.

Junior Golf
At Greenore Golf Club we welcome all juniors from an early age interested in taking up the sport of golf. Our coaching professionals have an exemplary reputation for teaching juniors of all abilities and introducing beginners immediately into a level of enjoyment.
Year round coaching is available, and junior competitions are held on Wednesdays through the summer holidays. Other opportunities to play competitive golf will be organised at different intervals through the year.

Junior Golf Policies
Greenore Golf Club is fully committed to safeguarding the well being of our juniors and have a strict safeguarding policy in place.
In working with young people in golf our first priority is the welfare of the young people and we are committed to providing an environment that will allow participants to perform to the best of their ability, free from bullying and intimidation.
Our Junior officers and volunteers are Garda vetted and experienced in working with groups of children and take their responsibility and safeguarding seriously whereby all children will be treated equally and an emphasis put on their enjoyment and safety. Should any issues of concern arise they will be documented and held on report with discreet confidence and investigated.
Children gathered in junior groups will be of a similar age.

Junior Competitions
Juvenile Competitions are played every Wednesday morning during the months June to August with the 1st and 13th tee reserved from 9.00am to 11.30am. There will be no Junior competitions during Greenore Open Week.
There are several different competition categories. Beginner’s category will be by choice of the Juvenile Convenor.
- Juveniles should report to the STARTER before 9.00am so that they are entered into the appropriate competition.
- There is a nominal fee for entry into the competition.
- Juvenile committee members will be the starters and will act as course rangers during play.

- Boys & Girls 6-hole (Yellow Course)
- Boys & Girls 9-hole (Yellow Course)
- Boys & Girls 12-hole (Yellow Course)
- Girls 18-hole (Red Course)
- Boys 18-hole (Green Course)
Junior Captains
The boy's and girl's sections are representated by their Captains who will ensure decisions and developments are in the interests of junior golfers. They will provide feedback to the club committee about the experience of young People at the golf club and communicate young people’s views to influence decision making.
Membership
Junior Membership is available from €40 plus €25 Insurance.
